what I blog about
The plot thickens. Just add cornstarch.
Back in 2012, I was happily cajoled into teaching a summer course at UCLA called "New Media." One Wordpress template and a few blurry phone photos later, I kickstarted my Intro to Blogging class. And that's how Wallflour Girl was born.
Over the years, this blog has blossomed into a delightful bricolage of my favorite ingredients: baking, food photography, and above all, unforgettable storytelling. Today, Wallflour Girl continues to offer recipes to over 250,000 readers every year--best served with a side of written wit and a sprinkle of joy.

about me
My love for life is rivaled only by Gordon Ramsay's love for infinitesimally small portions of French food. I earned my English PhD from UCLA in 2017, which is another way of saying that I'm decent at reading and writing, and also that I won't respond when somebody on an airplane yells, "Help! Is there a doctor on board?" I know lots of things about digital marketing, some things about web development, and very little about axolotls (except that they're great for memes). In my spare time, you might find me blogging, baking, swimming, writing clichés, and pretending I know all the lyrics to my favorite musicals.
